The Affordable Care Act re-establishes consumers’ control over their health care through the Healthcare Marketplace. A new “Patient’s Bill of Rights” provides the American people with the tools and resources they need to make informed healthcare decisions under the law.
The primary goals of the law are as follows:
- Make affordable health insurance available.
- Expand the Medicaid program.
- Reduce overall healthcare costs.
Health Insurance Marketplace
The Health Insurance Marketplace can help you get insured if you don’t have health insurance through work, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or another source that provides qualified coverage.
Savings Estimation Tool
Based on your income, see if you might save money on Marketplace premiums or qualify for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
By completing a Marketplace application, you’ll be able to view exact plan costs.
